Ideal for fishing, anglers of Moose Lake have the opportunity to catch lake char, rainbow and bull trout, kokanee, whitefish and ling cod. A boat launch is available on the eastern side of the lake. Ice fishing is also possible here.
This is a reservoir lake for Mica Dam that is located along the Columbia River. A campground is located at the lake with amenities that include cabins, tent sites and RV pads. A few of the lake's activities include fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and more.
Swift Creek is ideal for fishing. Anglers have the opportunity to reel in bull and rainbow trout, as well as whitefish. This is also a popular area for viewing the massive chinook salmon migration in August.
As its name suggests, the North Thompson River is the northern arm of the Thompson River and originates near Valemount, BC. The beautiful blue-green river runs south along Highway 5 to Kamloops where it joins the southern arm to form the main Thompson River, which eventually feeds into the Fraser River in southern BC.
Rising near Mount Robson Provincial Park and flowing nearly 1400 km (870 mi) into the Pacific Ocean at Vancouver, the mighty Fraser River is the longest river in British Columbia. Along with its many tributaries, the river and area offers plenty of recreational opportunities including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, camping and more.
